My birthday was really special. Dawn took me out on my actual birthday and we met her brother and sister in law Gary and Cindy for dinner at John's. What fun! Brenda had a balloon and cake for me when I returned home. My friends at Stark State gave me cards and Clara - my right hand and administrative assistant gave me chocolates. Carol took me to the Bomber Squadron also. Edlyn took me to lunch at Main Street Grille. And Tod and Betsy took me to the movie Alex Cross and Max and Erma's for dinner. It was just a great week! Thank you all too for your presents and cards.
I have been very busy at Stark State. We have been having a lot of meetings to tighten up the American Sign Language Certification program. I am teaching 3 classes so that keeps me out of trouble.
I did a statewide program for the Ohio Rehabilitation Association in Columbus on hearing loss and Sita. It was well received. I left after class on Wednesday and drove to Columbus. I attended the conference all day and then drove back on Thursday to get ready to teach on Friday morning. I was a tired cookie.
I also went to Lorain County Community College where all of the Excellence in Teaching faculty who won locally all around the state were honored by a very nice luncheon. So I have been on the road a lot.
I am not keeping up with my writing like I should. I am working on a sequel to the first picture book on Sita and am still trying to crank that out. it is written but not organized. Oh - to find the time! I will keep you all posted.
The article on Sita for Compass Media came out and Douglas Kish - the editor and staff did a wonderful job. You can check it out at www.followcompass.com
Sita and I are being honored in November at the YMCA for member appreciation month. She is so famous but all she cares about are treats and pats on the head.
My brother and family have also been here several times and I have spent some time with them.
I am so thankful for Sita and my friends and family and feel so blessed. Keep on reading and Sita and I will keep
