We met today with the editor of Compass Media magazine. The magazine is featuring several stories about animals including Sita. Dr. Angela Gamber, my wonderful veterinarian, sponsored Sita. Douglas Kish, the editor and the writer Eileen asked Dr. GAmber and me dozens of questions for over an hour! They were fascinated with all the tasks Sita performed for me ranging from "bumping" when the phone rang to picking up my keys. This magazine will produce over 30,000 copies and can be purchased online. It should be out in 2 weeks and I will keep everyone posted.
Also - we are doing finishing touches on the article titled "Two Guardian Angels" on how Sita helped me cope through the death of my Mother. This story has been accepted - one of 20 manuscripts out of 97 that was accepted. But there were some Americanisms in the article and the editor is British. We have tweaked some of the words and are working on the illustrations and this will be ready to go. I am so excited about seeing the final book - there will be writers from New Zealand, Great Britain, USA and France so it is truly a world wide book. Again - I will keep everyone posted.
And I am still working on a manuscript about Sita after I received her. The picture book Here to Bump and Bump to Hear is about her before I got her. Now I am writing an adult book sequel about our adventures together.
And we still are out there doing many programs together. So we keep busy and happy.
I look forward to your comments and thank you for keeping up with our adventures together!
